Seldom do you find “powerful” people apologizing. An apology should be just as adamant as their conviction, regardless if the accused defends themselves vocally or with silence, an apology is needed. Small awkward conversations does not quell the situation even if it was initiated by the ” powerful” accuser.
For the posterity of peace in my stomach, mind and heart I have activated forgiveness and practice the art of letting God. True power is experienced with small, sincere acts that emboldens you – so simple, so divine- that it commands respect.
And for those who can’t muster up an apology, I lift you up in prayers. Your indirect approach does not go unnoticed. Bless up yourself, forever large.
My mother once said ” be good ” as pre marital advice. I was off course skeptical as she was a recent divorcee. I have walked with it though at times my pettiness gets the best of me, drinking bush tea for my husbands cold, but I’ve digressed.
My mother is one of the most phenomenal women I know. Seldom does she shed tears, she’s does everything she wants to, she dresses well, cooks exquisitely, is fit and fun so then why did my father habitually cheat on her? Was is that she never allowed the free flow of emotions? Never provided the environment he needed to evolve emotionally? Is that why I too am stunted with my emotions?
AND THINKING IT OVER I can’t recall a time where feelings was ever encouraged at home. I’m trying so damned hard to understand where it is I come from, where I am and what I can do to help my kids be a bit more secure in this world. Emotion has its place, balance is key. Is it too late to help heal both my parents although they’re separated? Love can heal. That much I know. It’s ok to be vulnerable mommy- vulnerability is beautiful.
writers write, it’s just what we do. changing the narrative as we go along.
Forgiveness voids Bad karma, transcends it and it’s hold on those who are to inherit it.
Forgive while it is still fresh on your mind, forgive while your blood starts returning to its normal temperature after its quick boil, forgive while you’re still alive-
It has been one of those days, you know the kind of day where you are the sanest person you know and everything outside of you is draining the good life out. To bounce back it appears that you may need a stiff cocktail or some other vice- however all you have on hand is Rose water, Apple cider vinegar, and Sulphur spring water.
Luckily for you that is all you need to feel rejuvenated:
1 cup of sulphur spring water ( or alkaline water )
1 tsp ACV
2 tbsp Rose water
Place in spritz bottle and liberally spray onto face and décolletage. Now relax and enjoy the silence. Simple bliss- self care 😘
Ladies- this one is for us. As queens we are often times burdened with the onus of multitasking with little to no time left for ourselves and that right there is the first mistake- neglecting our self. To give the best of us we have to feel our best and as such have to carve out time to care for self before caring for others. So if that means something is to be rolled over into tomorrow’s priority list- let that be. Too many times we try our best to get everything done within that 24 hours allotted to us, while that is applause worthy- at what cost? Too many times we forego our inner peace and mental health to appease others. This must stop.
Spend time indulging in what rejuvenates you, eg. Traveling, Dancing, Dressing up- it’s ok to do these things, it is ok to enjoy yourself in what ever manner you choose. We must understand that the days of answering to a master or authoritative figure has long gone, that master is now the self. Make better choices where you are concerned, exercise your right to freedom and discipline. Validation of self by self = confidence. This is some thing that we all
have issues with, trusting that we have done the right thing or made the right decision. In life there is no right nor is there any wrong, there are however opportunities and great mistakes. Be thankful always for all that you have at any given time.
It is never too late to pick up a new hobby or learn a new skill- if you’ve always been interested in music believe in yourself and try it out! Cooking? Believe in yourself and try it out! Dancing? Believe in yourself and try it out! You’ll never know how good you are at something until you believe in yourself, pray and try it out. Even if at first you fail that in itself is a huge win if you are persistent. Failure simply is saying I refuse to try again. You and your happiness are worth every trial and error there is to make in the land of the living.
To write multiple posts while creative juices are flowing and have them lined up- waiting for you to publish. So that on your down days you can still show the world that you’ve been writing…..just not today.
